The General Directorate of Civil Defence organised a series of training workshops on fire prevention requirements in establishments, based on the Unified Guidebook of Building Permit Regulations, targeting a number of engineering consultancy offices and commercial complexes.
The workshop covered fire safety requirements in establishments, including the provision of emergency exits and clear evacuation routes, securing fire alarm and detection systems and emergency lighting, installing appropriate firefighting equipment and tools such as extinguishers and sprinkler networks, ensuring the fire resistance of structural elements to limit fire spread, preparing evacuation and emergency plans and training employees on them, in addition to conducting regular maintenance of all safety systems and equipment to ensure readiness.
The training workshops aim to enhance safety in establishments and complete projects within record timeframes.
