A delegation from the Ministry of Interior, headed by Brigadier Hamood Saad Hamood, Assistant Undersecretary for Legal Affairs, took part in the 11th Conference of Human Rights Officials of Arab Interior Ministries that was held in Egypt.
The conference discussed a number of items on its agenda, most notably: the outcomes of implementing the recommendations of the 10th conference, reviewing the experiences of Arab Interior Ministries in the field of human rights, as well as the draft of the first phase plan for implementing the Arab strategy to promote human rights in security work.
The conference also addressed mechanisms for coordination and cooperation between police agencies and national, regional, and international organisations working in the field of human rights, in addition to presenting a vision for developing human rights directorates in Arab Interior Ministries in the digital era.
