The Director-General of Criminal Investigation and Forensic Science took part in the 42nd meeting of the Committee of Directors-General of Criminal Investigation from the GCC states, held via videoconference with the participation of security representatives from the member states.
At the outset, he conveyed the greetings of His Excellency Interior Minister General Shaikh Rashid bin Abdullah Al Khalifa to the participants, praising the efforts of the GCC Secretariat General and the GCC Police in supporting joint Gulf security cooperation and strengthening frameworks of coordination in facing emerging challenges.
He emphasised that the meeting reflects the keenness of GCC states to unify visions and intensify cooperation to counter crime in all its forms, particularly with the rise of organised and cross-border crimes and the technological developments that have introduced new patterns of security threats. He also highlighted the importance of continuing to exchange expertise and successful practices in criminal investigations, contributing to improved performance and enhanced efficiency of security services.
