The Interior Ministry announced that as part of efforts to maintain order, combat crime, and enforce the law through inspection campaigns targeting residency violators in the Kingdom of Bahrain, the Criminal Investigation Directorate of the General Directorate of Criminal Investigation and Forensic Science arrested six Asian nationals in East Riffa in two separate cases. The individuals were found to be in violation of residency conditions and engaged in the sale and distribution of tombac and alcoholic beverages.
The Directorate explained that upon receiving information about the two incidents, search and investigation operations were carried out, leading to the identification and arrest of the suspects. Quantities of tombac, alcoholic beverages, and a number of electric wires were also seized in their possession.
The Criminal Media Division confirmed that the necessary legal procedures have been taken to refer the cases to the Public Prosecution. It also underlined the importance of communication and community partnership in supporting security efforts to counter illegal practices, urging the public to report any related information by contacting the General Directorate of Criminal Investigation and Forensic Science on 17718888, available around the clock, with full confidentiality guaranteed.
