The Child Protection in Cyberspace Unit at the General Directorate of Anti-Corruption, Economic and Electronic Security honoured children who successfully completed the "Safety Stars" programme, organised in cooperation with the “Little Trader” Foundation.
On this occasion, the Director-General of Anti-Corruption, Economic and Electronic Security, Colonel Ahmed Saad Al Rumaihi, affirmed that the programme is one of the unit’s initiatives aimed at preparing children to become certified trainers in raising awareness about the risks and negative aspects of cyberspace. He noted that this would enable them to train their peers in schools and student activities, spreading a culture of safe technology use among youngsters.
The Director-General emphasised the unit’s commitment to continuing the launch and implementation of such awareness initiatives, thereby contributing to enhanced community security awareness and protecting future generations from cyberspace-related challenges, in line with the National Strategy for Child Protection in Cyberspace (2023–2026).
