The Interior Ministry announced that as part of the security efforts carried out by the Anti-Narcotics Directorate of the General Directorate of Criminal Investigation and Forensic Science to protect society from the scourge of drugs, the directorate, in separate operations and in cooperation with Customs Affairs and an air cargo company, arrested 19 individuals of different nationalities in possession of approximately 16 kilograms of narcotics, with an estimated value exceeding BD113,000.
The directorate explained that upon receiving information about the incidents, investigations and intelligence operations were immediately conducted, leading to the identification and arrest of the suspects in possession of the drugs.
The General Directorate of Criminal Investigation and Forensic Science confirmed that the seized substances were confiscated, and the necessary legal measures were taken, with the cases referred to the Public Prosecution.
