Muharraq Governor honours partners in the Healthy Cities Programme

Muharraq Governor Salman bin Isa bin Hindi Al Mannai, praised the great support and wise vision of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, and of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, on the occasion of the World Health Organization’s accreditation of Muharraq Governorate as a “Healthy Governorate” within the Healthy Cities Programme.

 

This was during a ceremony honouring the success partners on the occasion of this national achievement, during which he expressed his deep appreciation to all who contributed to this accomplishment. He noted that receiving the World Health Organization’s accreditation certificate affirms the Kingdom of Bahrain’s status as a leading nation in the field of public health and sustainable development. He also extended his thanks and appreciation to His Excellency, Interior Minister General Shaikh Rashid bin Abdullah Al Khalifa, and to Dr Jaleela bint Al-Sayed Jawad Hasan, Minister of Health, for their continuous support in achieving the objectives of this vital programme.

 

Muharraq Governor affirmed that this achievement is the fruit of fruitful cooperation between the Governorate and all government and private ministries, bodies, and civil society institutions. He praised the active role of the success partners who contributed to enhancing the quality of life and health services in Muharraq Governorate.

 

The Governor honoured the contributors and collaborators who played a prominent role in obtaining this accreditation, stressing that this achievement reflects the Governorate’s commitment to promoting the health and well-being of society.
