The Capital Governor, Shaikh Khalid bin Hamoud Al Khalifa, affirmed that Majlis gatherings represent one of the most prominent features of Bahrain’s authentic identity, reflecting values of harmony, communication, and the spirit of one family. He noted that the Capital Governorate is committed to further reinforcing these values through direct engagement with citizens, listening to their aspirations and needs, in a way that consolidates the concept of community partnership.
This came during his visits to a number of Majalis in the district, including Mohammed bin Shaikh Ishaq, the Bumajeed Buknan Majlis. He expressed pride in what these gatherings represent as a deep-rooted heritage reflecting Bahrain’s history and cultural identity, stressing that strengthening national identity remains a top priority in the Capital Governorate’s work.
The meetings reviewed several public issues and services provided to citizens, where the Capital Governor briefed attendees on the Governorate’s key programmes, future projects, and plans aimed at improving quality of life in the Capital.
For their part, the attendees expressed their appreciation to the Capital Governor, praising his keenness on direct communication and his efforts to closely follow the views and suggestions of citizens. They stressed that such visits highlight the strong bond between the community and government institutions and contribute to reinforcing national cohesion and consolidating values of partnership in serving the nation and its people.
