His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa commended the meeting between General Shaikh Rashid bin Abdullah Al Khalifa, Minister of Interior and Chairman of the Ministerial Committee for the Follow-up on the National Plan to Promote National Belonging and Reinforce Citizenship Values, and residents of Muharraq Governorate. His Majesty expressed appreciation for the genuine patriotic spirit and steadfast loyalty shown during the gathering, which, His Majesty added, that it reflected the deep-rooted heritage, devotion and commitment of Muharraq’s citizens to their nation and leadership throughout history.
HM the King affirmed that Muharraq, like all parts of Bahrain, continues to benefit from major development projects in housing, health, education and other sectors. HM King Hamad stressed that the city holds a special place in the Kingdom’s heritage and identity, and that current development plans are being advanced with respect for its cultural and historical character, with key projects expected to be completed within a year.
His Majesty praised the pivotal role Muharraq has played in Bahrain’s history, noting the loyalty and commitment of its people, and their contributions to the Kingdom’s progress and cultural development. HM the King highlighted the richness of the city’s heritage, which embodies its authenticity and human legacy.
HM the King affirmed that citizens remain at the core of Bahrain’s national priorities, and that the Kingdom will continue to move forward with its development agenda to meet the aspirations of its people and provide for their needs.
