The Deputy Capital Governor, Brigadier Ammar Mostafa Al Sayyed, attended the celebration organised by the Um Al Hassam Elderly Care Home on the occasion of the International Day of Older Persons, with the participation of Member of the Council of Representatives, MP Hassan Eid Bukhamas and a number of the Home’s residents.
On this occasion, the Deputy Capital Governor affirmed that the Governorate’s support for the celebration comes as a tribute and recognition of the elderly for their outstanding efforts and sacrifices in serving the nation and community. He emphasised the importance of enhancing community awareness of senior citizens and benefiting from their experiences and life lessons.
He added that the occasion represents an opportunity to encourage various national institutions to provide an integrated environment that ensures the health, safety, and well-being of senior citizens, thereby strengthening their status and securing the dignified life they deserve.
