Chief of Public Security visits Public Security Sports Association

The Chief of Public Security, Lt-General Tariq Al Hassan, visited the Public Security Sports Association in the presence of the Assistant Undersecretary for Human Resources, Major-General Adel Abdullah Amin, and the President of the Public Security Sports Association, Brigadier Khalid Abdulaziz Al Khayyat. 
At the outset of the visit, the Chief affirmed that sports represent a key pillar in building the integrated security personality. He praised the significant support for sports in the Kingdom by His Highness Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, His Majesty the King’s Representative for Humanitarian Work and Youth Affairs, President of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sports, and the attention given by His Excellency Interior Minister General Shaikh Rashid bin Abdullah Al Khalifa to developing the physical fitness and professional capabilities of Interior Ministry personnel, contributing to discipline and teamwork to raise security performance efficiency.
During the visit, the Chief was briefed on the Association’s establishment, objectives, strategic plans, and its programmes and sports activities for Interior Ministry personnel. These include training courses, championships, awareness lectures, and publications documenting achievements and events. He stressed the importance of further developing the Association, involving the families of Interior Ministry personnel in its programmes to foster community partnership, and providing advanced training programmes and modern sports facilities in line with the vision of HE the Interior Minister.
For his part, the Association’s president highlighted the Association’s key achievements, including organising the Interior Ministry ATP Challenger Tennis Tournament, the Interior Ministry Olympic Shooting Championship, and winning 1,034 medals between 2004 and 2025.
At the conclusion of the visit, the Chief appreciated the Association’s management, commending its accomplishments locally and internationally, and underscoring the importance of continuing to implement sports programmes and plans according to best practices to prepare qualified and well-rounded security personnel.
The Association’s President expressed his gratitude for the Chief’s visit, noting that it serves as a strong incentive to continue providing a comprehensive sports environment for the Interior Ministry personnel.
