The Interior Ministry announced that as part of its ongoing efforts to combat fishing-related violations and ensure compliance with laws and regulations governing maritime activities, the Coast Guard has seized approximately 113 kilograms of shrimp caught on the Sitra coast using bottom trawl nets (known as “karaf”), which are prohibited by law.
Legal procedures have been taken to refer the case to the Public Prosecution.
