The Interior Ministry announced that, in implementation of the directives of His Excellency Interior Minister General Shaikh Rashid bin Abdullah Al Khalifa to delegate vehicle inspection services to the private sector, and in line with the goals of Bahrain’s Vision 2030 and the Government Action Plan, the General Directorate of Traffic has inaugurated a new vehicle inspection centre in Janabiya.
The opening marks the latest development in the ongoing cooperation between the Interior Ministry, represented by the General Directorate of Traffic, and the private sector to enhance vehicle inspection services across the Kingdom.
The Janabiya centre contributes to the network of technical inspection facilities across Bahrain, becoming the 13th centre nationwide, and reflects the continued expansion of traffic service infrastructure to meet the growing needs of citizens and residents.
The General Directorate of Traffic affirmed that delegating vehicle inspection services to the private sector supports the Ministry’s efforts to enhance road safety, ensuring the effectiveness and efficiency of vehicle systems in accordance with technical and safety standards.
