Deputy CID Director-General attends meetings

Deputy Director-General of Criminal Investigation and Forensic Evidence Brigadier Raed Ali Al Mailei,  took part in the Subcommission on Illicit Drug Traffic and Related Matters, as well as the meeting of the Working Group on Trafficking in Persons, both held at the United Nations Office Headquarters in Vienna, Austria.

The Subcommission discussed efforts to enhance regional cooperation in combating drugs, developing comprehensive and balanced strategies, and implementing resolutions issued by the General Assembly in this regard. Meanwhile, the working group meeting on Trafficking in Persons reviewed national and international efforts to combat this crime and examined global experiences and best practices in the field.

This participation, organised by the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC), comes as part of ongoing constructive cooperation aimed at developing the National Plan to Combat Human Trafficking.
