Northern Governor Hassan Abdullah Mohammed Al Madani, attended the Bahrain Tourists Guides Day celebration. The event, held at visual artist Abbas Al-Mousawi's exhibition, was also attended by General Director of Vatel Hotel & Tourism Business School, Shaikh Khaled bin Khalifa Al Khalifa, alongside a host of prominent cultural and artistic figures and a delegation from the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
On this occasion, the Northern Governor underscored the vital role of tour guiding in fostering national identity and civic values by promoting Bahrain's rich heritage and civilisational assets. He further commended the efforts of the Friends of Dilmun Tour Guide for organising the event and for their dedication.
The Head of the Friends of Dilmun Tour Guide emphasised that tour guides are the genuine ambassadors of the nation. He noted that the landmark Tourist Guide Day, a first for the Arab world, acknowledges their vital role in presenting cultural heritage and strengthening Bahrain's sustainable tourism identity.
The event concluded with an awards ceremony for eminent Bahraini and Saudi tour guides, tourism offices, media outlets, and civil society organisations.
