The Interior Ministry announced that the Criminal Investigation Directorate (CID) at the General Directorate of Criminal Investigation and Forensic Science has arrested a 49-year-old Asian man for practising medicine without a licence at his residence in the Salmabad area.
The directorate explained that upon receiving information about the illegal activity, an immediate investigation was launched. Through intensive search and follow-up operations, the suspect’s identity was determined and he was arrested in coordination with the National Health Regulatory Authority (NHRA). It was found that the man had been providing unlicensed medical services at his residence, where a quantity of unapproved medical drugs was also seized.
The General Directorate of Criminal Investigation and Forensic Science confirmed that the necessary legal procedures have been taken to refer the case to the Public Prosecution.
The Criminal Media Division within the directorate emphasised the importance of continuing community partnership to support security efforts in combating illegal practices. It urged the public to cooperate with the authorities by reporting any suspicious or unlawful activities to the Main Operations Room at 999, assuring that all information will be handled with full confidentiality.
