With the support of His Highness Southern Governor Shaikh Khalifa bin Ali bin Khalifa Al Khalifa, the Southern Governorate celebrated World Cancer Awareness Month at the Zayed Town walkway. The event exemplified the governorate's commitment to fostering health awareness and community partnership, and was attended by Deputy Southern Governor Colonel Hamad Mohammed Abdullah Al Khayat, and a number of officials and officers, government entities including the Southern Municipality, the Health and Social Affairs Directorate, the Public Security Sports Association at the Ministry of Interior, the Health Promotion Directorate at the Ministry of Health and civil society organisations also participated. This initiative forms part of the broader strategic objective for the Southern Governorate to achieve designation as a "Healthy Governorate."
