The Chief of Public Security, Lt-General Tariq Al Hassan, received the Inspector-General at the UAE Ministry of Interior and President of the International Criminal Police Organisation (INTERPOL), Lt-General Dr Ahmed Nasser Al Raisi.
At the beginning of the meeting, the Chief highlighted the deep-rooted brotherly relations between the Kingdom of Bahrain and the United Arab Emirates, characterised by close coordination and steadfast cooperation in security and policing. He noted that these efforts contribute to supporting joint initiatives aimed at enhancing security and stability and reinforcing the foundations of security integration between the two brotherly countries.
During the meeting, the Chief received the INTERPOL Medal of the Highest Order from the INTERPOL official in recognition of his outstanding contributions to promoting international cooperation in enhancing global security and peace.
The Chief expressed his appreciation to the President of INTERPOL for the honour, affirming the Interior Ministry’s keenness to continue cooperation and coordination with INTERPOL in exchanging expertise and information, combating organised crime, and promoting security and stability at all levels.
The meeting was attended by Royal Police Academy Commander, Major-General Fawaz Hassan Al Hassan; Special Security Force Commander, Major-General Waleed Abdullah Al Shamsi; Assistant Chief of Public Security for Operations and Training, Brigadier Mohamed Abdullah Al Harm; INTERPOL Office Director, Colonel Hamdan Al Yamahi; and Protocol and Ceremonies Coordinator for the INTERPOL President, Salem Al Mahri.
