The General Directorate of Traffic has launched the pilot phase of a project to install 500 smart cameras as part of its ongoing efforts to enhance road safety across the Kingdom.
The pilot phase involves the installation of several cameras at selected locations to evaluate their performance, technical efficiency, and integration with existing electronic systems in preparation for expanding the project to cover various areas nationwide.
This initiative falls within the Traffic Directorate’s ongoing efforts to enhance road safety standards and strengthen traffic monitoring through the use of advanced smart technologies, which contribute to improving service quality and promoting field performance development.
