Director General of Clearance and Customs Services at Customs Affairs Shaikha Muneera bint Mohamed Al Khalifa, , received the Economic and Commercial Consul for Customs Affairs at the Consulate General of India in Dubai.
During the meeting, the two sides discussed ways to enhance cooperation between the Kingdom of Bahrain and the friendly Republic of India in customs-related fields, in order to facilitate trade exchange and boost the smooth flow of goods between the two countries.
The Indian Consul paid a visit to the Directorate of Sea Ports, where he was briefed on the customs procedures followed at Khalifa Bin Salman Port, as well as the customs systems in the Kingdom of Bahrain and the level of technological development implemented therein. He also visited the Land Port Directorate, where he was briefed on the advanced inspection equipment and the modern control mechanisms used to accelerate procedures and facilitate the movement of goods and passengers.
