NPRA and LMRA sign cooperation framework

Ministry of Interior Undersecretary for Nationality, Passports and Residency Affairs (NPRA) His Excellency Shaikh Hisham bin Abdulrahman Al Khalifa, and CEO of the Labour Market Regulatory Authority (LMRA) Nibras Mohamed Taleb, signed a cooperation framework between the two sides to regulate the mechanisms for collecting visa transfer fees and cancelling residence permits, as part of efforts to enhance governmental integration and improve service efficiency.

 

HE Shaikh Hisham bin Abdulrahman Al Khalifa affirmed that signing the framework comes within the Ministry of Interior’s commitment to strengthening integration among government entities and simplifying procedures related to residency and visa services, in a way that contributes to improving the efficiency and quality of services provided to residents and business owners. He explained that this step is an extension of the Ministry’s efforts to develop its service system and adopt faster and more flexible work mechanisms, noting that unifying procedures and regulating fee collection mechanisms are key elements in improving user experience and ensuring smooth joint operations.

 

He added that cooperation with the LMRA reflects the Ministry of Interior’s commitment to supporting Bahrain’s digital transformation journey, enhancing the business environment, and providing advanced services aligned with best government practices.

 

The framework aims to unify procedures and improve the quality of services provided to residents and business owners, while enhancing transparency and efficiency in joint processes. The signing of this framework reflects the commitment of both entities to developing the government work environment and supporting Bahrain’s digital transformation journey.
