The General Directorate of Civil Defence has launched a nationwide awareness campaign entitled “Safety at Petrol Stations” across all governorates of the Kingdom, aiming to raise awareness about fire hazards and reinforce compliance with safety procedures at critical facilities.
As part of the campaign, field visits were conducted to various petrol stations to explain safety and security procedures. Awareness brochures and educational materials were distributed, and training workshops were held for staff members, focusing on how to respond to fuel leaks or emergency fires. Participants were also trained in the proper use of fire extinguishers and how to act appropriately in the event of an incident. In addition, motorists were provided with guidance on safety practices during refuelling.
