Customs Affairs and Al Salam Bank announce first fully integrated digital link between “Maaredhbh” platform and ASB Pay Business during Jewellery Arabia 2025

MOI

Customs Affairs, in cooperation with Al Salam Bank, announced a new milestone that reinforces their leading role in providing advanced digital banking solutions in the Kingdom of Bahrain. The achievement comes through the integration of “Maaredhbh”, the Customs Affairs exhibitions management information system with Al Salam Bank’s ASB Pay Business platform, which will be officially launched during Jewellery Arabia 2025 to streamline commercial operations for participating exhibitors.

This collaboration supports national economic growth and enhances the business environment by simplifying commercial processes for exhibitors, particularly those arriving from abroad. Through the integration with ASB Pay Business, merchants will be able to complete sales transactions and comply with customs procedures through a single device, with real-time visibility of transaction flows, ensuring a secure and fully digital experience that boosts efficiency throughout their participation in the exhibition.

“Maaredhbh” is considered a globally pioneering digital initiative in the exhibitions management sector, including Jewellery Arabia. It reflects Bahrain’s advanced progress in digital modernisation, covering all stages from online exhibitor registration to final customs clearance. The exceptional integration with Al Salam Bank through ASB Pay Business enables a fully unified digital cycle that delivers a unique compliance experience unmatched in other countries.

Commenting on the milestone, President of Customs, Shaikh Ahmed bin Hamad Al Khalifa, highlighted its significance, stating: “Customs Affairs is proud to partner with the private sector in launching this national achievement. The “Maaredhbh" system was fully automated and developed by customs teams as an innovative digital initiative that streamlines customs procedures within the exhibitions sector. This achievement aligns with our ongoing efforts to simplify processes, enhance transparency and accuracy, and reduce the time required for clearing exhibitors’ goods from arrival to the end of the exhibition smoothly and efficiently. Through our partnership with Al Salam Bank and relevant entities, we look forward to delivering a unified, secure and fully integrated experience for all exhibitors.”
