The General Directorate of Civil Defence has organised an awareness campaign targeting commercial establishments and shops across all governorates of the Kingdom of Bahrain, as part of ongoing efforts to raise community awareness of safety requirements and fire-prevention measures.
The campaign included inspections to ensure the availability of safety equipment and compliance with required standards at various sites, as well as verifying that warehouses adhere to security and safety regulations. The team also reviewed several common shortcomings that can lead to fires and other incidents.
Practical exercises were conducted during the campaign, during which workers and security guards were trained in the proper use of fire extinguishers in the event of a fire, as well as in securing buildings and protecting lives and property.
