The Director-General of Traffic, Major-General Shaikh Abdulrahman bin Abdulwahab Al Khalifa, expressed his pride in the Directorate’s win of the Best Practice in e-Participation Award as part of the 2025 e-Government Excellence Award, held under the patronage of His Excellency Interior Minister and Chairman of the Ministerial Committee for Information and Communication Technology, General Shaikh Rashid bin Abdullah Al Khalifa.
The Director-General affirmed that this achievement reflects what HE the Interior Minister said in his remarks regarding the Kingdom’s notable progress in digital development, driven by the Royal Vision and sustained government support. He noted that HE the Interior Minister’s instructions had the most significant impact in enabling the Directorate to build an effective and influential digital media ecosystem that promotes traffic awareness, serves the community, and aligns with the national digital transformation.
He explained that the winning initiative was built on producing high-quality digital awareness content supported by precise data analysis, with multi-platform and multilingual communication. This approach strengthened the reach of traffic-related messages to all segments of society and contributed to reinforcing a culture of participation and responsibility.
He added that the General Directorate of Traffic, with the support and follow-up of HE the Interior Minister, will continue to advance its digital awareness capabilities and further develop its technical and communication tools in line with Bahrain’s digital transformation objectives, enhancing the safety of all road users.
