Deputy Interior Minister heads Bahrain’s delegation to the INTERPOL General Assembly

Deputy Interior Minister Lt-General Adel bin Khalifa Al Fadhel headed the Kingdom of Bahrain’s delegation to the 93rd session of the General Assembly of the International Criminal Police Organisation (INTERPOL), held in Morocco, with the participation of representatives from member states.

The Ministry of Interior’s participation reflects Bahrain’s commitment to supporting international joint efforts to combat crime and to strengthen security and police cooperation among member countries, contributing to regional and global security and stability.

During the session, participants discussed several key topics related to advancing international efforts to combat organised crime and enhancing global security systems. The deliberations covered ways to develop international cooperation mechanisms in areas such as combating organised crime, asset recovery, and data protection. The meeting also reviewed INTERPOL’s Strategic Framework 2026–2030 and adopted a number of regulatory and administrative resolutions aimed at enhancing the effectiveness and efficiency of international police work.

The session further included elections for the President of INTERPOL and several members of the Executive Committee.
