The General Directorate of Civil Defence has organised a specialised training workshop on safety procedures for workers at fuel stations, as part of its ongoing efforts to enhance awareness, boost preparedness, and reduce the risk of incidents at these facilities.
The workshop covered several key topics, including approved preventive requirements, best operational practices, and mechanisms for handling fuel leakage incidents and proper evacuation procedures. It also included an overview of safety and protection requirements, as well as maintenance and sustainability standards for fire-fighting, extinguishing, and alarm systems in fuel stations, to ensure full compliance with approved regulations.
This workshop comes as part of a series of training programmes implemented by the Civil Defence, aimed at enhancing the capabilities of workers in the sector and strengthening the application of preventive safety measures across various workplaces.
