In a remarkable sporting achievement that reflects the high level of readiness and continued excellence of Interior Ministry personnel on the international stage, the Interior Ministry’s Showjumping Team, representing the Kingdom of Bahrain, secured first place and several top positions in the One-Star and Three-Star categories at the Riyadh Showjumping Tour. The event brought together 243 riders from 17 countries around the world.
The team demonstrated strong, professional performances throughout the competition, showcasing advanced technical and physical preparation as part of an integrated training system that contributed to their outstanding readiness and competitive edge.
Major-General Abdulaziz Al Rumaihi praised the significant support provided by His Highness Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, His Majesty the King’s Representative for Humanitarian Work and Youth Affairs and President of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sports. He emphasised that this support remains a key driver behind the advanced achievements that continue to elevate Bahrain’s name in regional and international equestrian events.
The team supervisor also expressed his gratitude to His Excellency Interior Minister General Shaikh Rashid bin Abdullah Al Khalifa for his unwavering support for the ministry’s sports teams and his commitment to strengthening their achievements in regional and international competitions. He further commended the continuous follow-up and support of The Chief of Public Security, Lt-General Tariq Al Hassan.
He added that the team’s success reflects the discipline, strong teamwork, and determination demonstrated by the riders during the competition, reaffirming their commitment to raising the Kingdom of Bahrain’s flag high on international sporting platforms.
