On the occasion of the Kingdom of Bahrain’s National celebrations and the Accession Day of His Majesty the King, His Highness Southern Governor Shaikh Khalifa bin Ali Al Khalifa announced a series of national and heritage initiatives leading up to Bahrain's National Day celebrations. These initiatives aim to reinforce values of citizenship and strengthen community ties.
The Governorate is preparing various events, including heritage celebrations and programs across multiple locations. Events will feature participation from local councils, clubs, and youth centers, with activities for families and children. Key events include:
• Riffa Celebration: December 10
• Zallaq Display: December 11
• Khalifa City Display: December 14
• Southern Holidays Festival: December 15 at Khalifa Grand Park, showcasing local crafts and heritage.
Additionally, the Governorate will host the sixth annual National Radio Competition from December 10-16, with winners announced on December 20. Residents are encouraged to engage by providing feedback via email and following events through the Southern app and social media.
