The Director-General of Anti-Corruption, Economic and Electronic Security, Colonel Ahmed Saad Al Rumaihi, headed the Kingdom of Bahrain’s delegation participating in the Second Global Conference on Leveraging Data to Improve Corruption Measurement, held at the United Nations headquarters in New York, with broad international participation from UN agencies and global experts.
On this occasion, the Director-General affirmed that, with the support of Bahrain’s wise leadership, the Kingdom continues to enhance its legislative and administrative framework for combating corruption in line with the best international standards. He noted that these efforts form part of an integrated strategic vision aimed at strengthening integrity and transparency across all sectors.
He added that the Kingdom’s active participation in such international conferences reflects its commitment to building strategic partnerships and exchanging expertise with relevant countries and organisations, contributing to the development of corruption-measurement tools and the reinforcement of governance principles, particularly in areas related to digital corruption and cross-border economic crimes.
The conference discussed the latest global trends in corruption measurement, with a focus on the use of artificial intelligence and advanced data analytics, and reviewed ways to promote integrity in public procurement and the private sector.
