The Interior Ministry Undersecretary, Shaikh Nasser bin Abdulrahman Al Khalifa, attended the celebration organised by the General Directorate of Policewomen on the occasion of Bahraini Women’s Day, which is being marked this year under the theme “Bahraini Women… Excellence – Creativity – Innovation.”
On this occasion, the Interior Ministry Undersecretary expressed his pride in the support and care extended to Bahraini women by Her Royal Highness Princess Sabeeka bint Ibrahim Al Khalifa, Wife of His Majesty the King and President of the Supreme Council for Women, praising her efforts in strengthening the role of Bahraini women across various fields and empowering them to fulfil their national duties with efficiency and distinction.
He also commended the continuous support of His Excellency Interior Minister General Shaikh Rashid bin Abdullah Al Khalifa for working women within the Interior Ministry, and his keenness to empower them to perform their duties across various security and service sectors. He noted that this support has highlighted numerous outstanding female role models who have demonstrated the competence and excellence of Bahraini women in police work.
The Interior Ministry Undersecretary further emphasised the Ministry’s commitment to supporting female competencies within a firm approach based on women’s empowerment and strengthening their presence across different security sectors. He affirmed that this direction reflects confidence in their capabilities and their vital role in advancing the security system, encouraging them to continue excelling and innovating in serving the nation.
For her part, the Director General of Women Police, Major-General Mona Abdulraheem, affirmed that the achievements attained by women within the Ministry of Interior embody the vision of the wise leadership and the support of HE the Interior Minister. She highlighted that an advanced working environment and specialised training programmes have been provided to enhance the capabilities of women police personnel and develop their performance, enabling them to carry out their security and community roles with high efficiency.
At the conclusion of the ceremony, the Interior Ministry Undersecretary honoured a number of distinguished female personnel from the Ministry of Interior, in recognition of their dedication and contributions to advancing the work system.
