His Excellency Interior Minister General Shaikh Rashid bin Abdullah Al Khalifa received the Chief of State Border Service of Azerbaijan, Colonel-General Elchin Guliyev, in the presence of the Chief of Public Security, Lt-General Tariq Al Hassan.
At the outset of the meeting, HE the Interior Minister welcomed the official, noting both sides' keenness to strengthen cooperation and exchange expertise to address security risks and challenges.
He affirmed that the Bahraini experience in developing border port systems is based on employing modern technologies to manage passenger and goods traffic, achieving an optimal balance between operational efficiency and procedural facilitation, while also maintaining the highest standards of security and safety.
He also emphasised the importance of strengthening partnerships and integration among national, regional, and international institutions to exchange information and expertise.
The meeting also reviewed several topics that advance security cooperation and coordination, opening broader horizons for cooperation and coordination in a manner that serves the interests of the two friendly countries.
