The President of Customs, Shaikh Ahmed bin Hamad Al Khalifa, led the Kingdom of Bahrain delegation to the 15th meeting of the Executive Council of the Customs Union Authority, held in Riyadh.
HE affirmed that the Kingdom of Bahrain, under the care of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, and the follow-up of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, continues to support and consolidate the path of joint GCC action and to enhance economic integration among GCC states. He noted that facilitating trade and investment flows is a fundamental pillar for developing Gulf economies and boosting their regional and international competitiveness.
He added that Bahrain’s participation in this meeting falls within its continued support for initiatives and resolutions aimed at strengthening the Customs Union and developing joint mechanisms to address challenges and facilitate the smooth flow of goods among GCC states.
