The Ministry of Interior announced that the General Directorate of Criminal Investigation and Forensic Science arrested two Chinese nationals within less than two hours of receiving a report regarding the theft of gold jewellery valued at approximately BD 50,000 from a residence in the Southern Governorate.
It explained that upon receiving the report, it immediately initiated a search and investigation, including the collection of information and evidence. These efforts led to the identification of the criminal conduct and the suspects’ identities, and to their arrest while they were attempting to depart Bahrain International Airport, in possession of some of the stolen gold items.
It added that all legal procedures have been taken and the suspects have been referred to the Public Prosecution.
