The Ministry of Interior affirmed that, as part of the efforts of the Anti-Narcotics Directorate of the General Directorate of Criminal Investigation and Forensic Science to protect society from the scourge of drugs, it succeeded, in separate incidents and in cooperation with Customs Affairs and Air Cargo, in arresting 15 individuals of various nationalities, aged between 21 and 33, for attempting to smuggle and possess narcotic substances weighing approximately 29 kilograms and valued at more than BD 135,000.
The Directorate explained that, immediately upon receiving information about the incidents, investigations were initiated, resulting in the identification and arrest of the suspects. Legal proceedings were taken, and the case was referred to the Public prosecution.
