His Excellency Interior Minister General Shaikh Rashid bin Abdullah Al Khalifa attended the Interior Ministry’s celebration to mark Bahrain Police Day. Also present were His Excellency Minister of Finance and National Economy, Shaikh Salman bin Khalifa Al Khalifa, a number of senior officials, and retired officers.
Upon his arrival, He was received by Deputy Interior Minister Lt-General Adel bin Khalifa Al Fadhel and the Chief of Public Security, Lt-General Tariq bin Hassan Al Hassan.
At the beginning of the ceremony, the Ministry of Interior's Salute was played, after which HE the Interior Minister inspected the parade. The proceedings then commenced with a recitation from the Holy Quran, followed by a speech by HE Interior Minister of Interior, in which he stated:
With immense pride, it is my honour to extend, on behalf of all members of the Interior Ministry, our sincerest congratulations and best wishes to His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa and to His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, on the occasion of the Kingdom of Bahrain's glorious National Day and the Accession Day of HM the King.
On this blessed occasion, as we celebrate "Bahrain Police Day," we stand with pride and appreciation, recalling the decades-long journey of service. I am pleased to have with us today several retired members of the Ministry to renew our pledge to remain loyal to the nation, safeguard its rights, and strengthen the foundations of its security and stability.
Distinguished guests, we thank God Almighty for the many blessings we have. The Bahrain Police Force enjoys HM the King's attention and appreciation. We recall here the royal support aimed at strengthening the civilised and societal values of the Bahrain Police Force and consolidating its role in enhancing security and spreading reassurance in society. This is achieved through our joint security work within an integrated system, which has had a clear impact on advancing community security performance toward a modern, contemporary police force that embodies the noblest meanings of pride and dignity.
It is the trusted support when matters become complicated, the strength when decisiveness is required, and the assistance when service and help are needed, recognising that security is the fundamental pillar for growth, prosperity, and the preservation of the nation's achievements. Inspired by the high royal directives, support and assistance come from the government led by HRH the Crown Prince and Prime Minister. He has directed the continuation of support for the Ministry's future projects to enhance the security system's readiness further, develop human and technological capabilities, and innovate rapid-response tools to maintain security, stability, and public order.
Dear brothers, allow me a moment of gratitude and appreciation to affirm that this sovereign ministry thrives on loyalty and dedication, and its reputation is tarnished by anything contrary to these. I have never permitted, nor will I ever permit, anything that elevates its standing and safeguards its position. Our responsibilities are not merely professional duties, but a national trust we are honoured to bear, and a humanitarian mission we are proud to fulfil, as you have demonstrated in various situations and circumstances.
We face, brothers, weighty responsibilities that only the sincere can shoulder, and you are worthy of this trust. This is your reputation, which I cherish and am proud of. You have lived up to expectations, working day and night tirelessly, in times of peace and hardship. Our responsibilities are not only job duties; they are a national trust that we take pride in bearing, and a humanitarian mission we are proud to fulfil. You have demonstrated this across various situations.
In the coming phase, our police work requires keeping pace with rapid technological advancements that are reshaping the security landscape. In our professional work, information technology presents both a technical challenge and an exceptional security opportunity. It is a challenge if it falls into the hands of those who wish to tamper with security or disrupt public order. Still, it is a great opportunity if we manage it effectively and invest it in ways that benefit people and facilitate their lives. This requires our security personnel to excel in their knowledge and electronic security skills. This capability and potential enable us to redouble our efforts and strengthen our cybersecurity presence. We emphasise the importance of countering negative news on websites through our security and legal presence online. We are grateful for the positive online presence of our dedicated national partners, which strengthens our national cybersecurity front. Together, we are building a bright future for our beloved nation while upholding our traditions and values, which we are working to solidify through the National Plan to Promote the Spirit of Belonging to the Nation and Reinforce the Values of Nationalism.
Brothers, on this precious occasion that brings us together today, we cannot forget to remember with pride the martyrs of duty. They are the heroes of security and an inexhaustible source of loyalty and devotion. They are forever the epitome of sacrifice and selflessness. We pray for mercy upon them and offer our deepest gratitude and appreciation to their families. To the members of the Interior Ministry, I say with pride: You are the vigilant eyes, the sincere hearts, and the arms with which the nation is built and strengthened. May God bless your efforts, grant you unwavering resolve, and make success your companion. Our thanks also go to our dear and loyal citizens, our partners in security, for their cooperation and national vigilance. In closing my remarks on this blessed National Day, we stand with utmost reverence before the flag of our nation, which flies ever higher, thanks to a leadership that has made wisdom its guiding principle, excellence its path, and security a humanitarian mission and a national duty. Bahrain, with its Arab identity and cultural heritage, under the leadership HM the King, confidently strides towards a future where horizons expand, justice and human dignity flourish, and authentic principles intertwine with visions of development, construction, modernity, and progress. We ask God to protect the Kingdom of Bahrain under the leadership of our esteemed King, the architect of our blessed renaissance, and with the loyalty of its noble people, and to perpetuate its blessings of security and prosperity, guiding us all towards what is best for the country and its people.
The participating units in the parade presented a field demonstration of practical skills, showcasing exceptional efficiency and discipline. The performance by the "Silent Unit" was particularly highly praised for its readiness and precision.
On Bahrain Police Day, which is a national occasion to commemorate giving in its finest form and loyalty in its highest meaning, HE the Interior Minister honoured several people with practical and field achievements, in recognition of their outstanding contributions, as well as those who were able to achieve sporting achievements at the local and international levels, wishing everyone success and guidance in serving the nation.
