The Ministry of Interior announced that the Anti-Corruption Crimes Directorate at the General Directorate of Anti-Corruption and Economic & Electronic Security has arrested a public employee for abusing his position and misappropriating public funds.
The directorate explained that upon receiving information about the case, it immediately initiated a search, investigation, and evidence-gathering, which led to the identification of the suspect and his arrest. Legal measures are underway to prepare for referral of the case to the Public Prosecution.
It reaffirmed its continued commitment to combating corruption in all its forms and its zero-tolerance approach to any practices that undermine public funds or breach professional integrity, within the framework of enforcing the law and reinforcing the principles of transparency and accountability.
