The Interior Ministry shooting team achieved outstanding results at the Arab Shooting Championship for air rifle and air pistol events, held in Oman, with 141 male and female shooters participating. The team won a total of 16 medals, including seven gold, seven silver and two bronze.
On this occasion, Chairman of the Police Sports Association Brigadier Khalid Abdulaziz Al Khayat expressed his pride in the team’s distinguished achievements. He noted that these results reflect the continuous support the team receives from His Excellency Interior Minister General Shaikh Rashid bin Abdullah Al Khalifa to enhance athletes’ performance and enable them to represent the Kingdom of Bahrain in regional and international competitions in the best possible manner. He also highlighted the close follow-up by Chief of Police, Lt-General Tariq Al Hassan, of all police sports teams during their participation in various sporting events.
