The Chief of Police, Lt-General Tariq Al Hassan, received Deputy Director and Head of Middle East Defence and Security Policy at the Ministry of Defence of the United Kingdom, Kashif Chaudhry, in the presence of the Assistant Chief of Police for Operations and Training Affairs, Brigadier Mohammed Abdullah Al Harram.
At the outset of the meeting, the Chief welcomed the UK official, praising the deep-rooted historical relations between the Kingdom of Bahrain and the United Kingdom and the continued development of these ties in a manner that serves the shared interests of the two friendly countries.
The Chief emphasised the importance of continued security coordination between the two sides and the exchange of expertise in security policy and addressing regional challenges, thereby supporting security and stability and strengthening joint cooperation on a sound professional foundation.
For his part, the UK official expressed appreciation for the warm reception, commended the level of cooperation with the Ministry of Interior, and reaffirmed the United Kingdom’s keenness to further strengthen its partnership with the Kingdom of Bahrain in the security field and in the exchange of expertise and best practices.
