The Muharraq Governor, Salman bin Isa Bin Hindi Al Mannai, on on behalf of the people of the Governorate in all its towns and villages, extended his sincere thanks and deep appreciation to His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, for his gracious gesture and noble directive to convey thanks and appreciation to Muharraq Governorate and its people on the outstanding success achieved by the Layali Al Muharraq Festival.
The Governor also expressed his thanks and appreciation to His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, for his kind directives in implementation of the Royal Order to government entities to activate the plan to preserve the historical and cultural identity of Bahrain’s buildings and cities, and to launch the development plan for the City of Muharraq. He affirmed that HRH the Crown Prince and Prime Minister's visit to the Layali Al Muharraq Festival and his direct meeting with residents had a profound impact on residents, underscoring the festival's success and reinforcing its national and cultural message.
The Governor conveyed his deep appreciation to the people of Muharraq for their sincere efforts and honourable stances that contributed significantly to the success of the festival, which was organised by the Bahrain Authority for Culture and Antiquities. He stressed that this success was achieved through the spirit of cooperation, a genuine sense of belonging, and the generous hospitality of the people of Muharraq, as well as the constructive cooperation and dedicated efforts of Muharraq Municipality and the Muharraq Municipal Council.
He added that the bright image presented by the residents reflected the deep bond between the place and its people, and further reinforced Muharraq’s status as a city rich in heritage, a hub of cultural diversity, and a model of warm hospitality and positive engagement with national events and celebrations. He affirmed that what the people of Muharraq presented during the festival will remain a source of pride and honour, and a strong incentive to continue building on the success of community partnership in serving the Governorate and the nation.
In conclusion, the Governor stressed that the people of Muharraq were not only part of the success of the Layali Al Muharraq Festival, but also its beating heart, opening their hearts before their doors and, through their generosity, crafting a civilised and welcoming scene befitting the city’s history and standing.
