The Ministry of Interior confirmed that the Anti-Narcotics Directorate of the General Directorate of Criminal Investigation and Forensic Science has arrested a 32-year-old foreign national upon his arrival in the Kingdom on a visit visa via Bahrain International Airport, after he was found in possession of more than three kilograms of cocaine with an estimated street value of around BD400,000.
The Directorate explained that investigations initiated upon receiving information about the case led to identifying the suspect and arresting him, during which the narcotic substances were seized.
The General Directorate of Criminal Investigation and Forensic Science stated that the seized items have been secured and legal procedures have been taken in preparation for referring the case to the Public Prosecution.
