His Highness the Southern Governor, Shaikh Khalifa bin Ali Al Khalifa, commended His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa’s Royal Order designating 2026 as the "Year of Isa Al Kabeer". The designation celebrates the founder of the modern state and the leader of Bahrain’s modern institutional history, His Highness Isa Al Kabeer, Ruler of Bahrain and its Dependencies
His Highness the Governor also affirmed that the progress and growth witnessed today by the Kingdom of Bahrain embody the prosperous era of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, and the support and care His Majesty extends to the comprehensive development process in the Kingdom. This is in addition to the directives of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, in consolidating national achievements and strengthening paths of development and prosperity.
HH the Governor expressed pride and honour in this royal order. He pointed out that launching this designation reflects the wise leadership’s commitment to reviving the nation’s bright milestones and historical figures, and to reinforcing the values of belonging and loyalty among the people of Bahrain.
