HE Interior Minister reviews cooperation during his visit to Kuwait

• HE Interior Minister conveys the greetings of HM the King and HR the Crown Prince, Prime Minister, to HH Amir of Kuwait and the Crown Prince, and commends the joint efforts to enhance cooperation between the two countries, especially in security.
• HE Interior Minister affirms the strengthening of security cooperation and coordination in areas such as exchanging security expertise and experiences, building training and operational capabilities, and conducting joint exercises.
• Kuwaiti First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior: Kuwait and Bahrain are one country, and there are numerous areas for security cooperation.
• Activating the work of the Joint Security Committee and developing the Memorandum of Understanding signed between the Ministries of Interior of the two countries. 
• An agreement reached to sign Memoranda of Understanding in the coming period covering cooperation in police training, civil protection, combating violence and addiction, and alternative sentencing.
• The Kuwaiti side's desire to learn about Bahrain's successful experience in the alternative sentencing and open prisons was welcomed. 
His Highness the Amir of Kuwait, Sheikh Meshal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al Sabah, received at Bayan Palace His Excellency Interior Minister General Shaikh Rashid bin Abdullah Al Khalifa, and his accompanying delegation, in the presence of His Excellency Kuwaiti First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior Sheikh Fahad Yousef Saud Al-Sabah. This meeting took place at the beginning of HE the Interior Minister’s visit to Kuwait, underscoring the strong relations and deep-rooted historical ties that bind the two countries and their citizens.  
HE the Interior Minister conveyed to HH the Amir of Kuwait the greetings and appreciation of his brother, His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, and His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, along with their wishes for his continued health and well-being and for the Kuwaiti people's further progress and prosperity. 
HH the Amir of Kuwait conveyed his greetings to HM the King, his wishes for his continued health and well-being, and his hope that the Kingdom of Bahrain and its people will continue to develop and prosper.
HE the Minister of Interior expressed the Kingdom of Bahrain's pride in the historical and close relations that unite the two countries in various fields, affirming Bahrain's unwavering support for Kuwait, its leadership and people, and its commitment to standing by Kuwait in all matters that preserve its security and stability and protect its sovereignty, within the framework of maintaining Gulf unity and strengthening solidarity among the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) states.
His Highness Kuwaiti Crown Prince Sheikh Sabah Al-Khaled Al-Sabah received HE the Interior Minister, who conveyed to him the greetings and appreciation of HM the King and HRH the Crown Prince, Prime Minister, and their wishes for continued progress and prosperity for him, Kuwait, and its brotherly people. HH Kuwaiti Crown Prince conveyed his greetings to his brother, HM the King, and his brother HRH the Crown Prince, Prime Minister, and his wishes for their continued health and well-being.
During the meeting, HE the Interior Minister emphasised the depth and strength of the historical relations that unite Bahrain and Kuwait, praising the joint efforts to enhance cooperation and integration between the two countries, particularly in security.
In a related context, HE the Interior Minister met with HE the Kuwaiti First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior during his visit to Kuwait. HE Sheikh Fahad welcomed the visit of HE the Interior Minister and his accompanying delegation. He noted that it would strengthen security cooperation and coordination. He emphasised that Kuwait and Bahrain are essentially one country, and that there are numerous areas for security cooperation.
For his part, HE the Interior Minister expressed his pride in the level of security cooperation and coordination achieved, stemming from the deep-rooted fraternal and historical relations that bind the two brotherly countries, under the leadership of HM the King and HH the Amir of Kuwait. 
HE the Interior Minister expressed his gratitude to HE the Kuwaiti First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior for the excellent preparations for the visit and the warm hospitality. He noted his eagerness to strengthen security cooperation and coordination, including exchanging security expertise and experience, building training and operational capabilities, and conducting joint exercises. He added that, based on the agreements reached during the recent visit of HE the Kuwaiti First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior, it was decided to activate the work of the Joint Security Committee and develop the Memorandum of Understanding signed between the two Ministries of Interior.

In this context, both sides agreed to sign Memoranda of Understanding in the coming period, covering cooperation in police training, civil protection, combating violence and addiction, alternative sentencing, and open prisons, as part of efforts to strengthen joint cooperation.
HE the Interior Minister emphasised that, given the partnership relations aimed at developing the prospects for security cooperation and the progress witnessed in various fields, this meeting will be an exceptional and constructive step forward in the path of security cooperation and coordination.
The discussion session between Bahraini and Kuwaiti officials covered several key security issues, aimed at strengthening cooperation and coordination and enhancing performance in addressing security challenges and regional developments. In this context, the Interior Ministry welcomed the Kuwaiti side's interest in learning about Bahrain's successful experience with alternative sentencing and open prisons, which have achieved successive milestones under the wise directives of HM the King and follow-up of HRH the Crown Prince and Prime Minister. Both sides also expressed appreciation for the distinguished role of police media in keeping pace with events, promoting security awareness and education, and combating rumours by publishing accurate and credible information.
Upon his arrival in Kuwait, HE the Interior Minister was received by HE the Kuwaiti First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior, and a number of senior officials. HE the Interior Minister was accompanied during his visit by several senior officials from the Ministry of Interior.
