His Excellency Interior Minister General Shaikh Rashid bin Abdullah Al Khalifa received on Tuesday His Excellency Ambassador of the Kingdom of Bahrain to the United States of America, Shaikh Abdullah bin Rashid Al Khalifa.
At the outset of the meeting, HE the Interior Minister congratulated the envoy on the occasion of Bahrain Diplomatic Day, which falls on January 14, marking the Royal Initiative and reflecting pride in the role played by Bahraini diplomacy, in cooperation with state institutions, in safeguarding the Kingdom’s supreme national interests within the framework of the comprehensive development and modernisation process led by His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, and supported and followed up by the Government, led by His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister.
HE the Interior Minister praised the efforts and dedication of Bahraini diplomats in highlighting the Kingdom’s achievements and its comprehensive national progress, as well as the notable successes achieved in the security, stability and foreign policy. He also highlighted the role of the Embassy of the Kingdom of Bahrain in the United States in strengthening and developing the various forms of cooperation between the two friendly countries.
During the meeting, ways of enhancing security cooperation programmes with the United States were discussed, as well as opening new horizons in the coming phase within the framework of developing relations of cooperation and coordination between the two sides.
