Chief of Police, Lt-General Tariq Al Hassan, Chairman of the Scientific Council of the Royal Academy of Police, chaired a meeting of the Council in the presence of the Deputy Chief of Police, Major-General Dr Shaikh Hamad bin Mohammed Al Khalifa, Royal Academy of Police Commander, Lt-General Fawaz Hassan Al Hassan, and Council members.
At the outset of the meeting, the Chief stressed the importance of the Council’s role in strengthening the security work system, within the framework of the keenness of His Excellency Interior Minister General Shaikh Rashid bin Abdullah Al Khalifa, Chairman of the Academy’s Board of Trustees, to enhance performance levels and achieve institutional excellence through the Academy’s training, educational and research outcomes.
He underlined the need to focus on the quality of these outputs across all sections and branches of the Academy, in line with the requirements of modern security work, and to contribute to raising the efficiency of security personnel and achieving the highest levels of professionalism.
The Council discussed ways to ensure the continuous development of training and educational programmes, as well as the importance of regularly reviewing and evaluating performance in order to enhance the effectiveness of approved plans and programmes and to achieve the targeted objectives for 2026.
The meeting also reviewed the Academy’s key activities during the second half of 2025, including a report on the organisation by the Information & eGovernment Authority, in cooperation with the Academy, of the “AI Game Day 2025” artificial intelligence competition, which targeted around 100 male and female students from various universities across the Kingdom of Bahrain, contributing to the promotion of innovation and the development of students’ technical capabilities.
