Interior Ministry Undersecretary Shaikh Nasser bin Abdulrahman Al Khalifa received the Ombudswoman, Ghada Hameed Habib, on Sunday morning.
During the meeting, the Undersecretary welcomed the Ombudswomanand commended the pivotal role of the Ombudsman’s Office in promoting the principles of justice and transparency, thereby strengthening respect for human rights.
The two sides also discussed ways to enhance cooperation and coordination to strengthen joint efforts to promote and entrench human rights principles, and to review several issues of mutual interest.
For her part, the Ombudswoman expressed her thanks and appreciation to the Undersecretary, praising his keenness to strengthen communication and coordination.
