At “Isa the Great Year” Committee Meeting, HE Interior Minister: Formation of the Committee Reflects Government Interest in Implementing the Royal Order

In implementation of the Royal Order issued by His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, that this year be named after His Greatness Isa Al Kabeer, Ruler of Bahrain and its Dependencies, and in line with the decision of the Cabinet led by His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, to form a committee to mark Isa Al Kabeer Year, chaired by His Excellency Interior Minister General Shaikh Rashid bin Abdullah Al Khalifa. The committee held a meeting on Thursday attended by several ministers and concerned officials, reaffirming the government’s commitment to activating the Royal Order designating 2026 as Isa Al Kabeer Year.
At the outset of the meeting, HE the Interior Minister praised the Royal Order, noting that this royal initiative represents an extension of the wise leadership’s approach in valuing national history and reflects the state’s appreciation of its historical political figures through the preservation of Bahrain’s modern history and national heritage. He explained that Isa Al Kabeer Year represents a national and historical occasion carrying values and principles that are reflected through achievements on the ground.   
During the meeting, HE the Interior Minister stated that each government entity has been tasked with preparing initiatives and proposals that reflect the significance of this occasion. He noted that the events, which will include media and cultural activities, will extend throughout the year and cover all governorates.  
The meeting also agreed to form a follow-up working team and to study several initiatives aimed at commemorating Isa Al Kabeer in a manner that embodies his milestones and legacy.
