The Royal Academy of Police (RAP), in coordination with the Supreme Judicial Council, organised an awareness lecture entitled “Information Security in Cyberspace” as part of efforts to strengthen cooperation with national institutions and to reinforce the principles of institutional partnership.
The lecture was delivered by Major Hamad Hilal Al Sadoun from the Royal Academy of Police. It aimed to raise the level of awareness among a number of members of the Supreme Judicial Council regarding the importance of information security and the risks associated with cyberspace.
The lecture addressed several key themes, including the concept of information security, the risks of internet use, and cybercrimes such as phishing, online fraud, and identity theft. It also covered best practices for digital safety, methods for creating strong passwords, and ways to deal with suspicious messages and websites. In addition, the lecture reviewed the concept of artificial intelligence, its applications and benefits, while highlighting its risks and the importance of the responsible and secure use of modern technologies.
This lecture forms part of a series of awareness programmes implemented by RAP in support of national efforts to protect information, enhance cyber security culture, and raise the level of digital readiness.
