The Deputy Chief of Police, Lt-General Dr Shaikh Hamad bin Mohammed Al Khalifa, chaired the Bahraini side at the fifth meeting of the working groups of the Security Committee under the Security Coordination Committee of the Saudi Bahraini Coordination Council. The Saudi side was chaired by the Director-General of Legal Affairs and International Cooperation at the Saudi Ministry of Interior, Ahmed bin Sulaiman Al Issa.
During the meeting, the Deputy Chief underscored the depth of the longstanding fraternal relations between the two countries. He noted that these ties constitute a fundamental pillar for strengthening security integration and interconnectivity. He highlighted the importance of the Security Committee’s working-group meetings in broadening the horizons of cooperation and joint coordination, thereby enhancing joint security performance and safeguarding national achievements.
The meeting discussed several topics aimed at developing areas of security cooperation and coordination between the two countries. It also reviewed the Security Committee’s initiatives and ongoing programmes, as well as several newly proposed initiatives.
