The President of Customs and the accompanying delegation were briefed on the practical experiences and best practices adopted in strengthening security and customs control over container movements for both import and export operations, in light of the port’s pivotal role as one of the United Kingdom’s leading commercial ports.
At the conclusion of the visit, the President of Customs undertook an inspection tour of the port’s operational and security facilities, during which he and the delegation reviewed the applied work mechanisms and the latest technologies used in the management and operation of the port.
